Indigo ELC – Woombye
A Place Where Childhood Slows Down and Connection Grows
Nestled in a charming 100-year-old Queenslander, perched on the edge of an 11-acre avocado farm, Indigo ELC Woombye is a truly special place—where the pace of childhood is honoured, and every day feels like coming home.
Woombye is the latest addition to the Indigo ELC family and is fast becoming a beloved part of the local community. Designed with intention and heart, the centre offers a warm, nature-rich environment where children are encouraged to explore, imagine, and belong. From its thriving veggie gardens and chook run to the soft timber floors and sun-drenched verandas, every part of the space reflects a deep respect for children, nature, and community.
Currently licensed for 47 children, Indigo Woombye is already in the process of doubling its capacity—a testament to the demand for high-quality, heartfelt early learning in the region. This expansion will allow even more families to experience the kind of care and education that places relationships, sustainability, and curiosity at the centre of everything.
Led by Hannah Crossley, the centre continues Indigo’s signature approach: values-led, child-focused, and environmentally conscious. Whether it's gathering around the fire pit, caring for animals, or enjoying spontaneous bush walks among avocado trees, children at Woombye are part of something real, grounded, and lasting.
This is more than a childcare centre. It's a little piece of magic—where families feel supported, educators feel inspired, and children are free to grow into themselves, surrounded by nature, nurture, and joy.
